Garlic adore passer du temps avec la sorcière Agnès, Carrot et son nouvel ami, le Comte, qui s'est avéré être un charmant voisin du village de légumes plutôt qu'un vampire effrayant. Mais malgré les efforts d'Agnès pour préparer un substitut sanguin végétarien pour le Compte, l'ingrédient dont elle a le plus besoin ne peut être trouvé qu'au Marché Magique, loin de la vallée. Avant qu'elle ne s'en rende compte, avec un balai à la main, Garlic se prépare nerveusement pour un voyage. Mais Garlic connaît également un autre changement : doigt après doigt, elle semble devenir humaine. La sorcière Agnès lui assure que c'est normal pour la magie de son jardin, mais Garlic n'est pas si sûre d'être prête pour un si grand changement. Après tout, les changements font peur… et si elle ne veut pas être humaine après tout ?

Garlic loves spending time with Witch Agnes, Carrot, and her new friend, the Count, who has proven to be a delightful neighbor to the village of vegetable people rather than a scary vampire. But despite Agnes’s best attempts to home-brew a vegetarian blood substitute for Count, the ingredient she needs most can only be found at the Magic Market, far from the valley. Before she knows it, with a broomstick in hand, Garlic is nervously preparing for a journey. But Garlic is experiencing another change too—finger by finger, she appears to be turning human. Witch Agnes assures her that this is normal for her garden magic, but Garlic isn’t so sure that she’s ready for such a big change. After all, changes are scary…and what if she doesn’t want to be human after all?
